My Mac cannot detect or takes a long time to detect my HyperDrive. What's wrong?

If you do not disconnect the HyperDrive from Mac OS properly (by right-clicking and selecting "Eject" or dragging the icon to the trash), the next time you connect, Mac OS will have to fix certain connection permissions before you can see the HyperDrive icon on Mac OS. Depending on the size of the HyperDrive's hard drive and the amount of data on it, fixing permissions can take up to 30 minutes. To avoid the wait, always ensure that you disconnect the HyperDrive properly from Mac OS.
