Can HyperDrive SPACE/COLORSPACE function as a card reader?

Unfortunately the HyperDrive SPACE/COLORSPACE does not function as a USB card reader. The feature has been deliberately removed because the card reader function would significantly reduce the internal hard drive USB transfer speed from 28MB/s to 7~10MB/s. This is because the HyperDrive SPACE/COLORSPACE has 3 memory card slots, each of which would appear as a removable drive on the computer along with the internal hard drive. The constant polling of 3 additional drives on the same USB bus would significantly reduce system resources available to the internal hard drive, thereby reducing its transfer speed significantly.
