HD80 Speed

Every second gone is possibly a missed opportunity to capture THE SHOT. Don't waste time, get the HyperDrive.

Utilising an advanced DMA (Direct Memory Access) chip that is solely dedicated to data transfer, we are able to built one of the World's Fastest Portable Storage Device (16MB/s). Transfer a 1GB card in under 2 minutes. This DMA chip allows simultaneous reading/writing of data between the memory card and the internal hard disk, which greatly improves the speed over the traditional "card reader" method of reading from the memory card first and later writing to the hard disk. An advanced software algorithm is also in place to transfer information more efficiently than any other devices.

  • One of the World's fastest memory card backup speed (16MB/s)
  • Faster than most products in the market which may take up to 30 mins to backup a 1GB card (e.g. iPod)
  • The HyperDrive backups a 128MB card in approximately 10 seconds
  • Faster than transferring via card reader onto your computer or laptop
  • Unlike USB OTG (On-The-Go) products that link to cameras via USB
    • The HyperDrive does not hold up your camera
    • It does not drain your camera battery
    • It does not have camera compatibility issues
  • With its hyper fast transfer, it will backup faster than you can shoot

Suggested workflow

Do you know that the HyperDrive can be clipped at belt level with all slots and controls easily accessible with one hand? Some photographers that shoot extensively (e.g. live sports, fashion show, event photographers) use 2 cards to constantly interchange between the camera and the HyperDrive. While one is being used in the camera, the other is being backed up in the HyperDrive. Because the HyperDrive is so fast, it will backup faster than you can shoot most of the time, so you will always have fresh space for your shots. For added insurance, some professional photographers even back up to 2 separate HyperDrives. They can do that in no time because the HyperDrive is simply so blazingly fast.

HD80 Power

Powerful - Backup up to 80GB of digital media from more than 8 memory card types on just 1 single battery charge

Your "unlimited" storage is as good as its battery life. Most products claim to have "unlimited" or up to 100GB of storage space but only possess a battery that can copy as little as 3GB before you have to charge the battery for a few hours in order to use it again.

Not for the HyperDrive. The HyperDrive is proven to backup up to 80GB of data on a single battery charge. If that is not enough, the HyperDrive HD80 uses standard AA size batteries that can be easily bought off the shelves to extend the usage of the HyperDrive.

In addition to using standard batteries, the HyperDrive also uses standard 2.5" notebook IDE/PATA hard disk (only 5 mins to install) and accepts 8 different types of memory cards (CF Type I/II, MD, SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro, xD).

With such versatility and ability for easy upgrades, the HyperDrive is probably the most powerful portable storage device in the market, allowing you to really go all the way.

HD80 Safety

All the ultra fast backup and prowess would mean nothing if we cannot guarantee that your data is safely transferred and stored on the HyperDrive. That is why we are pulling all the stops to ensure 100% data integrity for all your precious photos, videos, music and all other data that we know are very important to you. We assure you peace of mind knowing that all your precious data is safe with the HyperDrive.

Advanced 24-bit hardware based ECC copy verification

Our extensive copy verification compares every single file on the source memory card with their respective backup file on the destination hard drive. This detailed comparison is performed on the bit level which is equivalent to checking that every pixel on every photograph. The normally long verification process is rapidly reduced to matter of seconds thanks to the advanced 24-bit hardware based ECC architecture.
